The cobblestoned hills of San Miguel are alive with colorful, tasteful shops offering an enormous array of products you’ll want to stow in your luggage. San Miguel is best known for its fine silver work (this was once a major silver mining center after all), the locally produced talavera tile, hand-crafted leather goods, intriguing folkart and Colonial period antiques. As San Miguel has grown into a international tourist destination, it has also become recognized as an innovative design center. |
